    Based in Hong Kong, Robert is an award-nominated film composer, musician, film score conductor and music producer, collaborating with Asian filmmakers since 2002.

    Robert earned nominations for Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Awards for his scores for Johnnie To’s 以和為貴Election 2 (2006) and Patrick Tam’s 父子After This Our Exile (2006). He composed the score for the documentary Golden Gate Girls (2013), premiered at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and created main title themes for Oscar-winner Ruby Yang’s documentaries My Voice, My Life (2014) and My Voice, My Life Revisited (2020). He was nominated for Best Music at Cinema du Réel (2017) for Wen Hai’s 凶年之畔We the Workers (2017). His score for Havana Divas (2018) was featured at CAAMFest36 in San Francisco, and he composed music and eerie soundscapes for Raven’s Hollow (2022), featuring Game of Thrones actors, which premiered at Frightfest in London on August 27, 2022.

He teaches film music and sound production, including Dolby Atmos for film, animation, and interactive media, blending practical industry experience with theoretical insights to help students craft compelling aesthetic experiences.
